We need your email, a display name and (for email sign-up) a password to create an account. Everything else is optional or comes from using the site.
Your display name and profile picture are shown next to your games, forum posts, leaderboard scores and awards. Games and forum posts are visible to everyone, including visitors who are not signed in and search engines. Your email address is never shown publicly.
We do not sell your data. We use these providers, who process data for us or as separate controllers:
Google and Stripe may transfer data to the United States. Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and also use the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We may also share data when the law requires it, or to protect users and Gamero against fraud and abuse.
Games on Gamero are made by other users and run in a sandbox on a separate address. Creators are not allowed to collect personal data in their games (see the Terms). A game can only see your display name, your scores and awards in it, and the items you own in it.
_ga and _ga_* cookies, up to 2 years): only set if you accept analytics. You can change your choice at any time: .
Forum replies others have quoted, and votes that decided a past challenge, may stay after your account is deleted, without your name.
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
Email [contact@your-domain] from your account's address and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl), or the authority where you live.
Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a younger child has created an account, tell us and we will delete it.
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, connections use HTTPS, and uploaded games run on a separate address so they can't reach your account. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the authority as the law requires.
We will update this page when how we use data changes, and tell signed-in users about important changes before they apply.
